Black Healers Collective
Curator: Katherine Simóne Reynolds
The Black Healers Collective cultivates healing and wholeness for people within the African diaspora and beyond. Through healing arts, they share wisdom, traditions, and resources that enrich lived experiences. For Counterpublic 2023, Black Healers Collective will organize a healing space and ritual around spaces affected by immense traumas along Jefferson Avenue that require a deep communal healing.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
The Black Healers Collective is a community of change agents working to advance the healing and wholeness of African diaspora people. They are committed to the well-being of Black people, families, and communities, and extend that care to all of humanity and life on Earth. Founded in 2016, the collective engages in healing practices, programs and partnerships that support the Black Community in re-membering itself, expressing its truths and exercising its power, and creating healed futures that affirm and uplift Black lives.
